ePortfolio.org knows that you care how information about you is used and shared, and we appreciate your trust that we will do so carefully and sensibly. This notice describes our privacy policy. By visiting ePortfolio.org, you are accepting the practices described in this Privacy Notice.

All of your work, entries, portfolios, and information which is part of your ePortfolio are considered part of your educational experience at this institution. It is therefore protected by the same federal (FERPA) and institutional rules that protect your privacy. No information in this ePortfolio can or will be released to anyone without your permission (including whether or not you have an ePortfolio). Through the invitation process you control who can see your Guest Views, Portfolios, Goals, and Advising information.

Federal educational privacy laws gives the institution the right to conduct education research using the ePortfolio as long as all data is reported only in the aggregate and not attributed to any student. For example, your institution could count how many of its students have begun an ePortfolio or how many students have created portfolios or resumes using it. They cannot publish or use any specific information which identifies you in this research.

The institution and CTDLC reserve the right to review content within the ePortfolio and remove any which violates institutional policies or state, federal, or copyright laws.

Although FERPA rules do not specifically apply to faculty and staff, we use the same standards (as outlined above) for all users of the ePortfolio.

License and Site Access

The ePortfolio grants you a limited license to access and make personal use of this site and not to download (other than page caching) or modify it, or any portion of it, except with express written consent of the ePortfolio. This license does not include any resale or commercial use of this site or its contents; any collection and use of any product listings, descriptions, or prices; any derivative use of this site or its contents; any downloading or copying of account information for the benefit of another merchant; or any use of data mining, robots, or similar data gathering and extraction tools. This site or any portion of this site may not be reproduced, duplicated, copied, sold, resold, visited, or otherwise exploited for any commercial purpose without express written consent of the ePortfolio. You may not frame or utilize framing techniques to enclose any trademark, logo, or other proprietary information (including images, text, page layout, or form) of ePortfolio.org and our affiliates without express written consent. You may not use any meta tags or any other "hidden text" utilizing ePortfolio.org’s name or trademarks without the express written consent of ePortfolio.org. Any unauthorized use terminates the permission or license granted by ePortfolio.org. You are granted a limited, revocable, and nonexclusive right to create a hyperlink to the home page of ePortfolio.org so long as the link does not portray the ePortfolio, its affiliates, or their products or services in a false, misleading, derogatory, or otherwise offensive matter.
